About Jordan’s Wish

The Story Behind Jordan’s Wish

Jordan Leigh O’Malley was just 17 years old when she was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. What followed was a journey marked by resilience, faith, and an unwavering spirit.

After undergoing brain surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, Jordan faced months of physical therapy due to left-sided paralysis. With determination and courage, she relearned how to walk and regained the everyday abilities many take for granted.

Despite the challenges, Jordan continued to live fully. She played in her final volleyball game, scoring 11 aces in a row, and ran track, even when it meant finishing last. Her strength wasn’t defined by outcomes, but by her perseverance and joy in every moment.

As her illness progressed, Jordan remained hopeful, positive, and grounded in her faith. During her final Christmas, she was honored with the “12 Days of Christmas,” creating meaningful memories with family and friends.

Jordan passed away on March 13, 2016.

In her final days, she asked her family and friends to promise one thing: to help other families facing the same journey.

Jordan’s Wish was created to carry that promise forward.

Team Jordan

From the moment Jordan was diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2013, a community began to form around her.  That community became known as Team Jordan.

Today, Team Jordan continues to stand behind Jordan’s Wish, made up of friends, family members, and supporters who have walked alongside Jordan and her family from the very beginning. Their continued involvement helps extend care, compassion, and practical support to families facing similar journeys.
